Snowsuit Fund

This program aims to provide low-cost snowsuits to families in Gatineau, Hull, and Aylmer who are experiencing financial hardship.
The program’s objective is to reduce social inequalities by offering high-quality snowsuits at a cost of $25. Access to proper winter clothing helps reduce the risk of prejudice and discrimination based on appearance. The program also promotes healthy lifestyle habits among young people, as having a warm winter coat encourages them to spend more time outdoors playing.
This project is made possible through the active involvement of about fifteen community organizations and their volunteers, as well as several volunteers from Centraide Outaouais, and thanks to donors who rally to fund the program alongside Giving Tuesday.
Real estate brokers in the Outaouais region are particularly mobilized around this cause, under the leadership of Karine Séguin of Royal LePage Vallée-de-l’Outaouais, volunteer and prestigious partner of Centraide Outaouais, and Louis-Philippe Pidgeon of Engel & Völkers.
A huge thank you to the Fondation Bon départ de Canadian Tire du Québec and to Jonathan Gagné, owner of the Canadian Tire du Plateau store!
Their remarkable donation of $7,000 will provide warmth, comfort, and dignity to children in need. This support goes far beyond winter clothing: it gives children the opportunity to fully enjoy the cold season, get to school warmly dressed, and grow up with a smile. Thank you for taking concrete action that truly warms lives.
