On May 6, the 4th edition of the Centraide Outaouais Spin-o-thon will take place, presented by the Sporthèque in collaboration with Slush Puppie. For more than 10 years, Élaine Dupras has devoted her energy, leadership, and passion to advancing our mission. In 2017, as Chair of the annual campaign, she helped shine a spotlight on our organization and generously mobilize support for our cause. Her commitment continued on the Board of Directors, where she made her mark as Chair and then as a board member, right up to today. As she approaches her retirement this August, we celebrate not only a remarkable career, but also a person whose lasting impact has tangibly improved the lives of the individuals and families supported by Centraide. Her energy, kindness, and determined spirit inspire each of us to continue and amplify this impact.

Thank you for this wonderful honor. I am touched and honored by this tribute.” – Élaine Dupras

Élaine embodies what is most valuable about Centraide: a sincere, lasting, and deeply human commitment. She leaves her mark on Centraide and in the hearts of our entire community.” – Cédric Tessier

During the previous edition, the Spin-o-thon raised more than $100,000. This amount directly supports more than 86 community organizations that work every day to fight poverty and social exclusion across the Outaouais region.

What is the Spin-o-thon?

The Spin-o-thon is an annual event jointly organized by Centraide Outaouais and the Sporthèque. Participants take part in a two-hour spinning session, available at a cost of $1,000 per bike

With a capacity of approximately 100 bikes, this event makes it possible to raise a significant amount to support community organizations in the region, at a quieter time during the annual campaign.

Beyond the athletic challenge, the Spin-o-thon promotes physical and mental well-being, while bringing together businesses and citizens around a common goal: making a real difference in the lives of the most vulnerable members of our community.
