A compassionate woman to chair the Centraide Outaouais campaign
June 15, 2022
Nicole Gibeault will chair the 2022 Centraide Outaouais campaign.
A woman with an exceptional professional background, Nicole Gibeault is an Outaouais native and knows well the issues of poverty in the community where she still lives.
She was appointed the first woman judge in the Outaouais in 1991 and sat on the Court of Quebec for twenty-three years. Since retiring from the bench, she has been a legal columnist on TVA, LCN and radio stations throughout Quebec, including 104.7 FM Outaouais, 98.5 Montreal, FM 93 in Québec, and QUB radio.
Civic and community involvement is a family affair for Nicole Gibeault, whose grandfather, Alexis Caron, was himself the Campaign Chair for Centraide Outaouais in 1949. Responding to Centraide Outaouais’s call was only natural, she explained. “I couldn’t refuse to help my community in the face of real needs,” she said.
