Centraide Outaouais is always looking for dynamic people to fill available positions on its Board of Directors. Any of these positions might appeal to you if:

• you want to make a difference in your community.

A charitable organization whose mission is to fight poverty and social exclusion, Centraide Outaouais has collected donations locally since 1943 to support community agencies that help vulnerable people regain their dignity and their place in society. Centraide Outaouais also seeks to build the capacity of community organizations and empower disadvantaged groups in the region. The strength of the Centraide movement in Quebec rests on the commitment of hundreds of volunteers who actively support its mission year-round.

Position Requirements

You are committed to helping develop a healthy and supportive community and ready to volunteer your time as a member of the Board of Directors.

Nominee Profile

– Member in good standing of the organization; (Relevant paragraph in by-laws: As defined in the Interpretation Section of this By-law, a Member is any individual or legal entity that has made a financial contribution to Centraide Outaouais during the twelve months preceding the Annual General Meeting, and who presents the motion authorizing him/her to represent said legal entity.)

– Available for meetings (9-10 annually) of the Board of Directors

– Available to sit on a board committee

Nomination Process

Interested candidates should write a short letter outlining their interest, including a description of their professional background and previous experience on a board of directors (maximum 250 words). This document is filed in our candidate database that we can consult in the event that a position becomes available.
