Centraide Outaouais is a charitable organization whose mission is to combat poverty and social exclusion. Since 1943, it has been raising funds to support community agencies in the Outaouais that help people affected by poverty or social exclusion to regain their dignity and their rightful place in society.
Centraide Outaouais is recognized as an agent of social development, and an expert fundraiser. Nearly $126 million has been collected since the organization was founded, a community effort we can all be proud of. Our movement’s greatest strength is the hundreds of volunteers who are active year-round in making our fundraising campaign a success as they reach out to the people of the Outaouais, the business community and the public, quasi-public and institutional sectors. Through programs like CA Marche and Back to School, and in other ways, Centraide Outaouais helps to build the community, as well as the capacities of the agencies it supports and of the weaker members of society.
